There are two main types of electric motors. There are direct current or DC and alternating current or AC motors. The reference of DC or AC refers to how the electrical current is transferred through and from the motor. Both types of motors have different functions and uses. Dc motors come in two general types. They can have brushes or be brushless. AC motors, as well, come in two different types. They can be two phase or three phase. The differences in DC and AC motors are sometimes subtle, but these differences are what make one types better for a certain use.

Direct current or DC electric motors work for situations where speed needs to be controlled. DC motors have a stable and continuous current. DC motors were the first and earliest motors used. They were found, however, to not be as good at producing power over long lengths. Electric companies found using DC motors to generate electric did not work because the power was lost as the electric was transmitted. Brush DC motors use rings that conduct the current and form the magnetic drive that powers the rotor. Brushless DC motors use a switch to produce the magnetic drive that powers the rotor. Direct current motors are often found in appliances around the home.

Alternating current or AC electric motors are used differently based on what type of AC motor it is. Single phase AC motors are known as general purpose motors. They work well in many different situations. These AC motors work great for systems that are hard to start because they need a lot of power up front. Three phase, also called polyphase, AC motors are usually found in industrial settings. These motors also have high starting power built transmit lower levels of overall power. AC power gets its name from the fact that it alternates in power. The amount of power given off by an AC motor is determined by the amount of power needed to operate the system.

DC and AC electric motors are found everywhere from the home to the car to industrial plants. Motors are important to everyday life. Dc motors were introduced and caused a great revolution in the way many things are done. When AC motors came on the market the way motors were looked at changed because of their amazing starting power potential. DC motors and AC motors are different in many ways, but they still both are usede to power the world.

For most, the section 404 solution will serve as a central repository for internal control documentation. It will also facilitate the testing of internal and external audit controls and serve as a portal for executive review. Like most rollouts, Section 404 software requires education in processes and internal controls.

Most products offered by vendors are web-enabled, allowing clients with multiple locations to use software with a minimum of IT Staff. The use of Extensible Markup Language (XML), Extensible Business Reporting Language (XBRL), Java, and middleware languages is a success factor. These languages particularly XBRL, bring the publication, exchange, analysis of the complex financial information in corporate business reports into interactive realm of the internet.

XBRL provides a common platform for critical business reporting processes and improves the reliability and ease of communicating financial data among users, whether internal or external to the reporting enterprise. XBRL is an XML based royalty free open standard that is being developed by a consortium of more than 170 companies and agencies; the intent is to deliver benefits to investors, accountants, regulators, executives, business and financial analysts, and information providers.

Commercial packages typically include word-processing, spreadsheet, diagramming and flowchart tools to document processes and internal controls. These features allow users to custom-design their software. Some Solutions facilitate certification testing of controls by the business owner and the auditor. Others allow a view of best practices for internal controls or the committee of Sponsoring Organizations (COSO) integrated framework.

Various packages offer users the ability to resolve significant accounts from financial statements. Processes associated with selected accounts are identified and then assigned to process owners. Internal controls are documented and tested, and process owners can sign certifications for each process on a quarterly basis.

Doing research and writing research papers does not actually have to be as horrible as everyone makes it out to be. I have learned to enjoy the process of research from start to finish. Call me crazy if you will, but I guarentee that the future of your educational career can be much more enjoyable if you learn now to enjoy research. For me, enjoying it started with choosing the right research topics.

Whether you are in high school, college, gradudate school or are writing for your doctorate degree, research is an inevitable part of education. For me, it wasn’t until I was nearly finished with my undergraduate college degree that I had a revelation about research that changed my whole perspective. These are the simple and somewhat obvious things that came to me. First, I had to do research projects and papers to make it through school. There was no way around it. Second, I knew from experience that everything in life is harder when you do not enjoy what you’re doing. I determined to find a way to make researching enjoyable for me. Third, I made researching enjoyable by deciding to only research about things that I really cared about. The transformation came when I decided that no matter what, I was only going to choose research topics that I really cared about, even if it made my projects harder or longer.

As soon as I started choosing great research topics I found that the entire process of creating a research project or writing a research paper was easier, more enjoyable, and less stressful for me. I no longer spent hours trying to learn about the ancient history of tribes I knew or cared nothing about. Instead, I began to choose research topics such as the history of soccer or the development of education in Africa. Of course, the things that excite me will likely be things that bore other people to death. But, you see, that is the beauty of it. If everyone destined to write research papers commits to choosing only research topics that they love, everyone will learn from each other and enjoy the process.

So, my advice to you, fellow student, is simple. Never let yourself start the long process of research with a research topic that you could care less about. Commit in advance to finding a research topic that excites you and begin from there. You will be so glad you did, and your projects and papers will probably be better off as well.

From August through March, sports enthusiasts everywhere can be found watching their favorite college football or basketball games at tailgating parties, picnics, campsites or at home.

Because most remote sports gatherings have become high-tech, the use of satellite TVs, microwave ovens, computers and even blenders to whip up party drinks is becoming more the norm than the exception. And the common denominator is power. Enter the portable generator.

Once reserved only for emergencies, the portable generator has become the real power behind today’s tailgate parties. Manufacturers such as Honda Power Equipment are designing generators that are powerful, lightweight, fuel efficient and that provide clean power necessary for sensitive electronics.

“Choosing the right generator is easy: Just select the appliances you’ll want to operate and match the output of the generator to your needs,” says Tom Pernice, Marketing and Product Planning at Honda Power Equipment. (You can find a handy wattage calculator at www.honda.com.) “Look for a quiet generator that won’t disturb other tailgaters.”

These tips will help you get the most out of your generator: Be sure to pack a power strip for plugging in multiple appliances, and because games can run into overtime, take along extra gas for the generator-stored in an approved safety container.

For the party itself, don’t forget wet wipes for sticky hands, extra chairs for drop-in guests, personalized beverage containers so guests won’t mix up their glasses or cups, and enough water to extinguish hot charcoal. Postgame, enjoy leftovers while you clean up and wait for the traffic to dissipate. Then plan for the next party.

Power to the people: A portable generator can add a lot to an outdoor tailgate party-or other special event.

Plugging in to the fun of a sporting event can be even more electrifying when you bring along a portable generator.

Incontinence can be caused by several medical problems which includes diabetes or weak pelvic muscles. For women, drying and thinning of the skin in the vaginal area or the urethra causes incontinence especially after menopause. For men, the enlarging of the prostate gland or some prostate surgeries may be the main cause of incontinence. Although incontinence can affect both genders it mostly affects women.

If the pelvic muscles are weakened, a person will be prone to incontinence. This has been the cause of incontinence for many people. There are also some medicines that may cause or trigger incontinence. Consult with your doctor before taking any over-the-counter medicines. Certain medications and antibiotics can cause unwanted side effects such as incontinence.

The build-up of stool in the bowel may also affect a person thus causing incontinence. If a person is unable to move around freely, he may experience incontinence. A simple urinary tract infection may lead to incontinence. Also those people who have high calcium levels and problems such as diabetes are candidates for incontinence.

It is mostly adults who experience incontinence. This occurs when the bladder contractions have overcome the muscles that are forming a ring around the urethra in order to keep it closed. Defects in the nerves of the brain might lead to incontinence developing. These nerves control the bladder activity and if they are not functioning properly there is a knock on effect to other areas in the body. This situation can be caused by a stroke, Parkinsons disease, or from other conditions that damage the brain.

If the bladder is irritated, it might cause spasms which are not normal. This happens frequently with bladder stones, bladder cancer, and tract infections. This can also be caused by the blockages and tumors found in the colon which pushes it up through the bladder.

If the normal reflexes are lost, the motion of emptying the bladder could be impaired. This can be experienced by those who are experiencing problems with the nerves that lead through the bladder. Also from the damages due to the tumors and spinal cord that presses on the nerves. The loss of the normal voiding reflex can be affected.

The most frequent situation in older adults is unrestrained contractions of the bladder that build up without other serious fundamental illness or cause.

It is important to understand the causes of incontinence so that you can identify them and try to avoid them. Incontinence may be quite difficult to cure so the proper actions should be practiced. Since women are more prone to incontinence, they should be especially watchful for the first signs of incontinence.

Whether you are selling or buying a home, you should always go through an escrow period. Part of the process involves the establishment of a lender account since they do not trust you.

Lenders Do Not Really Trust You

Escrow is not a process that is used only in real estate transactions. It is often used in business transactions to create a safety zone for the transfer of something, often business secrets or intellectual property. In the case of real estate, escrow is used to create a centralized, impartial company or agent that can collect documents as specified in the real estate transaction documents. This is simply called escrow, and is not a lender account.

An lender account is a bank account. It is an issue for a buyer to deal with as it is tied to any home loan on a property. The lender does not really trust you even if it agrees to give you a home loan for hundreds of thousands of dollars. As a result, it demands an bank account be established, an account which it controls.

The lender uses the bank account to make sure certain bills are paid, debts that might otherwise cause the lender problems if not paid. These debts and liabilities include homeowners insurance, private mortgage insurance, and real estate taxes such as property taxes. The lender will specify the definitive costs to be covered in loan documents.

Each month, the borrower is required to make a deposit to the bank account. The lender takes said money and pays the relevant debts and liabilities related to the real estate. Depending on the loan and the lender, the borrower may be required to keep a cushion in the account. A cushion refers to a minimum balance. The cushion is required to make sure there is money to cover the bills if the borrower fails to make the monthly payment.

Lender accounts make sense from the perspective of the lender. Buyers need to make sure they understand the payments required as large cushion requirements can seriously impact a buyers cash flow.

Did you know that the VIN number to your automobile is more than just a series of numbers used for identification? In fact, the VIN number of your car can actually reveal to you the history of your vehicle. How can this be so? With a VIN number, you can find out who owned you are car in the past, whether or not the vehicle has been in any accidents and more. In fact, the VIN number is often used from car dealers that travel from home to automobile auctions to determine whether or not a vehicle is worth bidding on before they travel to the auction and place their bids.

Much like a strand of deoxyribonucleic acid (DNA), the VIN number of your vehicle is an identification number like no otherthe VIN number of your vehicle relates solely to the vehicle you have purchased or you plan on purchasing and no other vehicle in the world has the same VIN number as the one your car possesses. In fact, there is even a decoding process when it comes to VIN numbersa VIN number can be decoded by breaking down the various combinations of letters and numbersall which have a significant meaning. For example, one number will denote the country that the car was built in, another number will denote the manufacturer, and certain numbers even denote the cars features.

Conversely, the VIN number can also provide you with information about odometer readings; whether or not the car has ever been stolen; if the car has experienced flood damage; and whether or not there have been recalls on parts associated with the vehicle. You can also find out if there is or ever was a lien on the cars title, if it had ever been repossessed, and if it suffered major damage in the past. So, what does all this information mean to you? Basically, consider it fuel for a positive purchase when you are buying a carthe more you know about the vehicle, the better decision you will be able to make when buying it. Conversely, if you already own the vehicle, knowing the cars history is vital in giving the car the proper maintenance it needs. Also, you may be able to foresee problems in the future that originate from past issues with the vehicle.

In the end, you should visit a website that allows you to check on the VIN number of any vehicle. In fact, some sites let you run a free VIN number check so that you can test out there services. Using your preferred search engine, you can easily locate a VIN Number checking website. You will find such services well worth the visit.

Web site analysis tools can contribute to design decisions to improve visitors online experience but also to inform site owners, business owners about the performance of their Web sites. However, in many cases, eBusiness Managers, Webmasters or Web operations managers, start deploying Web site analysis tools just as a nice to have tool. Instead of measuring performance and comparing it to the business objectives, they mostly communicate the raw analysis data to senior management, without any further explications or any recommendations for site improvements. To exploit the value that Web site analysis tools can provide, the following major pitfalls should be avoided:

1) Business objectives not set for individual sections of the site: At most organizations, business owners responsible for a sub part of the corporate Web site have not defined their specific business objectives of their sub parts. For example, a sub part of a Web site could be customer support, which can be further broken down into self-service tools (e.g. frequently asked questions, download of drivers, etc.), support contact information, warranties, user manuals, etc. Measuring the performance of a site or a sub part of the site is only valuable, if the measured performance can be compared against the targeted objectives. If business owners do not set business objectives, the analysis cannot determine the sites performance. eBusiness managers or Web operation managers that are in charge of deploying Web site analysis tools need to help business owners defining the detailed business objectives of their Web sites sub parts (read also, “Who Should Set Business Objectives, Steve Telleen).

2) Site owners or site section owners are not trained to understand the analysis reports: At most organizations, site owners or business owners for a specific sub site can not leverage the reports of Web site analysis tools as many of them dont understand the benefits of such a measurements approach. eBusiness managers need to explain as a first step the benefits and the importance of this performance measurement as integral part of their Web performance measurement program. The second step includes explaining of what is measured and how the measured data can help business owners to further improve their sub-parts of the site (e.g. changing navigation or cross-linking sections, providing and updating section with most used links, etc.). If business owners are not sensibilized and/or not trained how to leverage value out of the Web site analysis report, they most likely will not even start reading the reports and all efforts in measuring Web site performance using Web site analysis tools is wasted.

3)Data points of Web site analysis tools are not related to each another: Web site analysis tools measure data points for a defined time period such as number of viewed pages, number of unique visitors, number of visits, etc. However, these data points do not provide any value. For example a high number of viewed pages may indicate that site visitors are lost within the navigation and browse a lot of pages to find what they are looking for versus a lower number of viewed pages, which may indicate that site visitors find directly their information in few clicks due to effective site navigation. It is crucial that Web analysts, relate the individual data points to derive value that can be translated into site improvements and that the value can be communicated to business owners to inform them about their specific site performance. For example to measure the effectiveness of online support, Web analysts should measure and relate the following key performance indicators (KPI):
a) Stickiness = total amount of time spent viewing all pages in the support section divided by the total number of unique site visitors in the support section and
b) Focus = average number of pages visited in the support section divided by total number of pages in the support section.
For online support the stickiness and the focus should be low, which indicates that the navigation to the specific support is effective (e.g. site visitors need few clicks and minimal time to get to a specific support page). It is crucial that the measured data points of Web site analysis tools are related to each another and that these data points are measured for a specific section on the site. If data points are not related to each another and not measured for a specific section, they do not provide any value or at worst if they are interpreted they may lead to wrong design decision.

4)Not enough skilled human resources available to analyze the reports: Web site analysis tools do only track and store the visitors online behavior. Web site analysis tools cannot interpret the measured data. To get value out of the measured data, dedicated Web analysts need to analysis further the collected data. The main duty of the Web analysts is to relate the individual measured data to each another to obtain KPIs. These KPIs allow Web analysts to deduce the design changes to increase site visitors experience. In addition, Web analysts need to be able to relate the correlated analysis data with Web site design (read also, “When Not to Use Web site Analysis Tools, Nicolas Brki)

5)Web site analysis tools are considered as the only way to measure Web site effectiveness: Many organizations rely mainly on Web site analysis tools to measure Web site effectiveness and do not perform any other site performance measurement approach to improve the visitor online experience. To continuously improve a Web site, the Web performance measurement program should include as well, usability lab testing, focus groups analysis, etc.

Smoking or puffing a cigarette is a vice that literally enslaves millions of people around the world. It is amazing how a small roll of finely cut tobacco, enclosed in a thin, paper wrapper could cause so much addiction. More than just an addiction, smoking is a very serious health risk. In fact, the World Health Organization says that smoking is responsible for at least five million deaths each year. The WHO also estimates that at least 650 million people (the estimated total number of smokers around the world today) will eventually die due to tobacco-related diseases. The said agency also released strong warnings about smoking during pregnancy. Pregnant women who smoke are at high risk of giving birth to premature or underweight babies. Some birth defects have been attributed to cigarette use. Smokers have been found to be overwhelmingly more prone to heart disease and respiratory problems compared with non-smokers.

Asbestos cases are notorious for having fraudulent claims mixed in with the real ones. For companies to help protect these claims through pre-packaged bankruptcy filings to avoid exposure is counterproductive. Asbestos cases which are filed in Federal Court are all transferred to one judge in Philadelphia, Pennsylvania. This federal judge in Philadelphia (Judge Myron Weiner) has approximately 50,000 cases assigned to him. So know you can see how asbestos cases are very specialized and complicated.

Whole house air purifiers can bring a whole new environment to your entire home. While single room purifiers can effectively clean the air within a specific location in your home, many families desire the same standard of cleanliness all around their home. Whether you have allergy sufferers in your family whod like to sit comfortably in any room in the house, or simply want that whole house freshness, then whole house air purifiers might be for you.

A whole house air purifier operates by connecting it with your household air duct system, allowing the air flow from the entire building to be processed by the one whole house air cleaner. The same technologies employed in single room air purifiers are used here, so you can choose from HEPA, electronic or other systems, as best suits the purification needs of your family. Whether you are looking for an allergy relief air purifier, or a UV system to blast those micro-bugs, there is a whole house air purifier ready to meet your needs.

The whole house air purifier does, however, have its critics, as some experts feel that one whole house air cleaner does not possess sufficient cleaning power to remove airborne dust and particles from around your whole home. Some estimate that as little as thirty percent of your household air will even pass through the whole house air cleaner, leaving a full seventy percent of the air in your home unclean.

Whole house air purifiers can be a great way to clean the air in your home from one central location, but may not be strong enough to eliminate all the particulates that affect particularly sensitive people. So if you are looking for an allergy relief air purifier, or have a particular sensitivity to chemicals or odors, then a room-specific air purifier might be most suitable for you.

So consider carefully whether whole house air purifiers are for you, or whether you should consider room air purifiers in the most important rooms.

The myspace background is an important aspect of any user account. Unless the background is not up-to-date, it will be difficult to drive traffic for the site. A number of backgrounds are available on the Internet for free that can be downloaded to spruce up the background. They depict a lot of freshness. The background can be changed almost on an everyday basis. The only important issue that has to be kept in mind is the fact the myspace account identity is not damaged on account of frequent changes.

Deciding when to retire from something you love has to be a difficult decision. Whether you are an athlete, business owner, architect, writer, or sports announcer, the decision to walk away from a life that has defined you for nearly half a decade is certainly not an easy one. That said, no one wants to be the one who is holding on to a position that they are no longer good at, especially in a field that has superior talent waiting in the wings.

Unfortunately there seems to be a trend of those kind of guys in sports casting guys that dont adequately do their jobs but just cant seem to let go, yet are still working because of their reputation, not their current skill (or lack thereof).

The best sports announcers enhance the viewers experience. They can take an ordinary game and make it entertaining. They can take a great game and turn it into one of the most memorable moments in history (Al Michaels and his Miracle on Ice call Do you believe in Miracles…YES! falls into that category).

Good sports announcers give a completely neutral experience they neither enhance nor detract from the moment. They do their jobs but dont give you that extra something special.

Bad announcers on the other hand, can turn the focus of a great game to themselves and their incompetence. A blatantly missed call or a palpably false statement frustrates fans and makes them wonder how they still have a job. Fortunately, most bad announcers dont last very long. But what happens when a great announcer goes bad in old age? Should he be forced to retire or should fans be mercilessly exposed to their ineptitude for years until they decide to leave on their terms?

Keith Jackson is the pre-eminent example of this. Jackson announced his retirement from college football announcing at the end of the 1998, with his last broadcast to have been the 1999 Fiesta Bowl for the National Championship between Tennessee and Florida State. This was the proper decision. At this point he was still revered as the greatest college football announcer ever.

However, he changed his mind the following fall and now does a more limited schedule of games almost exclusively on the West Coast. This past January, Jackson showed how far he has eroded during the National Championship Game between USC and Texas. The game was one of the greatest college football games of all time. Did Jackson enhance the experience as he would have years ago? No. Instead he did the exact opposite. He managed to turn the attention to his own inability to perform his job during a great game.

He brought a lifeless energy, coupled with a series of bloopers and missed calls and a puzzling silence as Vince Young crossed the goal line for the game winning touchdown. He also missed a knee down on a lateral play, which he later attributed to difficulty seeing through his binoculars!

If legends like Jackson and John Madden wont willingly step down on their own, the networks are going to have to make the difficult decision to let them go. There are too many capable play-by-play announcers out there to let these guys continue to ruin broadcasts. I know it will be hard to do, but your audience will thank you.

Do you remember the days when if you wanted to listen to music, you had to plug in your stereo and hope that the power didnt go out? Those days are long gone and there are now tons of devices that make it easy to take your music with you. Im sure that some people still prefer their portable CD players, but almost everyone nowadays either already owns or has their eye on those spanking new mp3 players that are all the rage.

Mp3 players are much more lightweight than CD players, because they dont require CDs. In fact, most of the top mp3 players allow you to download music directly to your mp3 players hard drive. This has drastically reduced the space requirements and todays mp3 players can easily fit into a shirt or pants pocket. While many brands have their own versions of mp3 players, by far the most popular is undoubtedly the Apple iPod. Heres why the iPod is so much ahead.

Mp3 players can be put into two categories; those which use flash memory and those which have a hard drive. The iPod Nano boasts an amazing 2GB of storage space, which translates to over 500 songs. The accompanying software is upgradeable so you dont need to change mp3 players to keep up. You can fine tune the sound quality by using a number of equalizer presets and the device is compatible with both Windows and Mac operating systems.

You really see the iPods popularity though when you consider hard drive mp3 players. These typically have a much higher storage capacity than flash memory mp3 players and the iPod is no exception. Although much of the features are the same as its flash memory counterparts, iPod hard drive mp3 players top the scale with a whopping 30 GB of storage and the ability to recognize and play video files as well.

The amount of space offered, and the accompanying features, have put Apples mp3 players at the top of many consumers wish lists and the iPod continues to hold off challengers. High sales of Ipods have led to a jump in the associated market of iPod accessories. Think of a possible accessory, and its probable been made. Todays iPod accessories comprise the typical headphones and rechargeable adapters, but there is some more creative fare. These iPod accessories include docking stations, speakers and LCD displays. Even the garment industry has jumped on the bandwagon and created iPod accessories in the form of special pockets for your iPod.

Shopping for the holiday season, you can never go wrong with gadgets! Here is a list of the top selling consumer electronics this holiday season.

The Sony Playstation Portable (PSP) is currently the most purchased gadget on the market. Not only can this device play games, you can also watch movies and listen to MP3′s anywhere, anytime. It also comes with WiFi technology, which allows you to link up with other players or browse the internet.

While the Sony PSP may be the big seller for the year, the iPod nano is expected to takeover the holiday market. This version of iPod is the middle child, between the iPod shuffle and full version of iPod. Available in 2 GB or 4 GB models, this device can store between 500 and 1,000 songs and is small enough to fit in the palm of your hand.

Another gotta-have gadget this holiday season is the PalmOne Treo 650. One of the newest and most advanced smartphones on the market, this is a combination between a PDA and cell phone. No more carrying around two little lifesavers; now you can have everything you need in one convenient device.

The Toshiba Qosmio G25-AV513 is the latest in laptop multimedia technology. This machine combines DVD, DVR, TV, MP3, and games oh yeah, and it is also a computer! Not only does it come with an incredible 17″ monitor, but high end speakers and a remote control.

Possibly the most interesting of all of the holiday sellers is the Sling Media Slingbox. This amazing gadget is wanted by everyone and is becoming harder and harder to find. It allows you to remotely connect and view your home television from virtually any computer. You can even view recordings captured on your TiVo! For television enthusiasts, this is an ideal gift that will knock them off their feet.

Multimedia devices seem to be taking over the market. It should be no surprise, then, that the Archos Gmini 420 is high on Christmas lists this year. This miniature toy allows you to enjoy 10,000 songs, 80 hours of video or 200,000 photos. With a massive 20 GB capacity, it is astounding this machine weighs less than 6 ounces. More proof that mobility is becoming essential in all electronic equipment; this is a huge product for the holidays.

Also big in stores this season are the Sony Ericsson W800i, the Nokia N90, and the Motorola Ravr V3. Combining all the features typical of cell phones these days, these tout cameras, MP3 capabilities, and connectivity. However, they each have a unique feature, such as direct phone printing, FM radio, and a small size.

The results of a poll held in Australia have found that women drivers are more concerned about the costs of fuel than men.

Women, whose greater consideration for safe driving in many cases results in much lower car insurance premiums, also appear to be more considerate when it comes to the costs of petrol, according to the survey from NEWS.com.au and Coredata.

Some 86 per cent of women motorists said they were worried about the ever rising price of petrol, compared with a slightly lower 80 per cent of men.

Furthermore, 66 per cent of women surveyed said they were trying to economise on their overall petrol usage, while only 59 per cent of their male counterparts, who will generally pay higher car insurance premiums, said the same.

Almost half of women drivers revealed that they were looking to purchase a small car. Those shopping for female car insurance could benefit from such a move, as small cars generally have smaller car insurance premiums.

Contrastingly, under a third of men said they were considering buying a small car.

Petrol price worries are not unique to Australian women drivers – both male and female British drivers may have felt the strain on the pocket of rising fuel costs over the last few years.

And like in Australia, many men and women drivers in Britain may also be considering purchasing smaller, more fuel efficient vehicles to cut costs.

Buying a new car often provides a good opportunity to review car insurance policies and some providers specifically offer motor insurance for women, given their statistically better safety profiles.

A survey earlier this year from the car manufacturers Chrysler Group found that men and women drivers felt differently about the standards of each other’s driving, despite the fact they agreed on aspects of driving itself, such as evading objects and bad weather.

By your choice of not forgiving, you have chosen to shackle yourself like prisoners to your past! This holds you back from experiencing your true Divine Potential. You carry the great weight of shame upon your shoulders, the burdens upon your back, the grudges and revenge reek havoc in your mind and the ball chained to your leg impedes your forward growth. You hold the power and one of the keys that can potentially heal you physically, emotionally, mentally and spiritually, ultimately setting you free!

When we carry grudges, resentments, old hurt and pains we end up hurting ourselves more than the ones that we perceived did the hurting! Being unforgiving is detrimental to our entire being! Coaches, counselors and doctors attest to the damage that is done by failing to forgive ourselves and others. The majority of illnesses that are treated are due to emotional problems. Depression, anxiety and destroyed relationships are normally caused from carrying resentment and bitterness which is unforgiveness.

Forgiveness has to be given without resentment and in honesty. It must be completely genuine or else it is not truly forgiven. You are only fooling yourself if you do not truly forgive from the heart. What if the person we are forgiving does not feel that they have done anything wrong? It doesnt matter, forgive them anyways! As with all choices presented to each of us during our course of life, they have choice on taking responsibility for their own role. If the other person involved chooses not to accept responsibility, that is ok! Self-empowerment is taking care of yourself and doing things for yourself. You do not need another persons permission to heal yourself! Take back your power, forgive them, rid the energy and move on with your life! You do not need their permission or approval for you to forgive them. You owe this to yourself. You are only responsible for your own healing. In truth, when you do forgive the other person, a higher part of this being, knows and accepts your forgiveness. So in essence, you are helping the other person by your unselfish act of forgiving them! Really it is a win-win for all involved. Although the person not taking responsibility for their involvement will stay stuck in their life where they are at. But as with all things, they will evolve when the time is right for them.

A lot of hurts and pains are buried deep within our subconscious mind. We do not remember them therefore we feel we are free of them. This is not so! This hurt and pain IS an energetic memory stored within our being. It runs our lives! It is a program that keeps replaying over and over, one that stifles your growth forward as it holds your consciousness in victim mode. Forgiveness is something that needs to be done in order to heal yourself physically, raise your vibration, leave victim consciousness, and move forward in your life. Forgiving someone does not mean you are accepting the persons behaviour. Forgiveness is more about releasing the harmful energies that are overshadowing your personal health and wellbeing than letting someone else off the hook for their misdeeds. When you hold onto the pain, resentment, fear, hurts and other emotions you give your power away to the one whom has done the hurting. When you do not forgive this person and yourself you allow subconscious programs to run your life. You keep yourself locked in a repetitive victim cycle until you are ready to release these energies and programs.

I am ready to heal myself. I am ready to forgive everyone that has ever done me wrong, how do I do this? Here is an exercise that you can do by yourself that is very powerful and freeing! It takes some time but is definitely worth every ounce of effort you put into it.

Go into your physical sacred space, sit and start a list. Go back into your life as far as your memory can remember and start writing down every single name that you see or hear that you feel has created any type of hurt, pain or suffering. Go right back to the very beginning. Think of your parents, siblings, relatives and neighbours. Go back to your school days. Go into your work place. Write down every single name without judgment. When you feel your list is complete, go back again and this time, write down all the names that you feel you have hurt either intentionally or unintentionally. Be as honest with yourself as you can. Remember you are the only one suffering by not taking responsibility for your own actions! After you are done, go through the list and for each person say, I AM the Violet Flame. I forgive (name) and I forgive myself now. I release all karmic energy that we have together in all directions of time. I send you love and bless you on your way. I call upon the power of God to cut any and all psychic cords between myself and (name) now. These psychic cords are now lovingly severed, lifted, loved, healed, released and let go into the Violet Flame. I therefore accept fully and completely the healing of my relationship with (name) now. Thank you! So be it and so it is!

This does take awhile but it is very powerful! Free yourself and move on! If you feel like there was someone you still have trouble forgiving, keep coming back and repeating the affirmation for this person or people daily, until you feel you have forgiven them and yourself completely. I would like to also say that just because you have forgiven someone for their part in your learning experience, this does not mean you have to resume a relationship with this person if it has already been severed! You forgive and move on.

Some other very powerful ways to free yourself with forgiveness are through energy work, meditations and visualizations that work specifically to deprogram your subconscious mind.

You have the power within to change your life, who do you need to forgive right now?

The nation’s top mechanics are rejecting the recommendation by some in the auto field that cars can go 5,000 miles or more before oil is changed.

National Institute for Auto-motive Service Excellence (ASE)-certified Master Automobile technicians weighed in on this and other issues in a survey conducted by Valvoline. The survey covered the controversial recommendation and trend toward longer intervals between oil changes, as well as the costs to car owners of delayed maintenance.

“Certified Master Automobile Technicians are the best of the best,” said ASE President Ron Weiner. “They are on the front lines of taking care of today’s vehicles and they have definite thoughts on how motorists can participate in making their cars and trucks run better and last longer.”

Oil Change Frequency

Mechanics view oil as the lifeblood of the car engine, with 84 percent saying not getting a regular oil change can cause the most problems for a vehicle, when compared to other maintenance issues. Sixty percent said the oil should be changed at 3,000 miles-the longtime, recommended standard.

According to the survey, Valvoline remains the number one choice of ASE Master Automobile Technicians for use in their own cars and trucks, and is the brand of motor oil most recommended by them to customers, friends and relatives.

“Changing oil with quality motor oil, like Valvoline, at regular intervals is the best way to prevent damage to your car’s engine and keep more money in your pocket,” said Valvoline Marketing Director Bryan Emrich. He added that regular oil changes protect the engine and reduce sludge, which can impact engine perfor-mance and cause costly repairs.

Delayed Car Maintenance

While car owners know, intellectually and intuitively, that regular maintenance is important to keeping their four-wheeled investment in safe condition and working order, the reality is that more and more Americans are not listening to conventional and proven wisdom.

The vast majority of mechanics-87 percent-said they believe American car owners are putting off routine maintenance, mostly for cost reasons. Ironically, they overwhelmingly said-at 97 percent-that delayed care will cost an owner much more in the long run, as problems left unattended can multiply and lead to other issues.
